L's surprise revealed

it was a long planning... Since we didnt celebrate Linda's birthday for her last year (well, her bday not exactly in a v gd timing.. with CAs & assignments due... =/) BUT being her 21st this yr, cannot anyhow anyhow le!! somemore she's considered one of my good friends in mse leh...

anw, so we came up with a plan to trick her a psuedo-celebration. The dimsum-kbox treat during recess. Haha... Made a simple card for her, lest she tink too much... But the real thing was already under planning... hekhekhek...

there were plan A and B, one being Angela's concert ticket ($150) and the other, SHE-endorsed Casio watch. Since we couldnt get someone we know to go with her & sponsors were unwilling to subsidise for her friend (she was so eager to go that she dint mind sponsoring 33% for michelle's tix!), the final decision was - SHE watch. I insisted on getting the one with signature encarved, then meaningful wad! Even though it's ella's.. haha.. Well, S's & H's dun reali suit her mah.. anw it's gd we got e signature one also lor.. the packaging nicer! got their faces & signatures!!! see example: haha.

Anw, it's a good celebration. Luckily got yew meng volunteering to draw the animals for the card! haha... im evil... If u noe Linda, u noe how "good" she is at recognising animals... so i had this evil plan of her naming all animals correctly before receiving her bday present! =D but congrats! after some ordeal, she managed to attach all the names correctly (i was kind enough to provide helping words!)

all in all, celebration was quite fun. =) linda, being ever so generous, treated us again! (last yr, treat our eff comm grp [me, van, ym] to ljs) this time, mac'flurry thou me & joyce special order - strawberry mango juice! =)

not trying to claim credits... despite me doing all the planning, coordination (getting people to sponsor/chip in), choreographing the celebration (coming up with idea of match-the-animals then making of the card)... Seriously, to do it for a worthy friend, I really don't mind. In fact, I enjoyed it.

Although I did felt damn irritated by many 小人throughout.
By some inconsiderate person (whose nickname sweet is so ironic) who called this gathering of many people to chip in a "donation drive".
By some fakey person (likes is somewhat like an ant) who had a busy schedule yet refused to arrange the timing of psuedo outing; heck-care behind her back yet being so actively involved in planning in front of her; lived so near yet refuse to go shopping; didnt do much yet claimed credits on bringing the "important" stuff; acting like the host/main organiser when sending the photos; agreed upon the payment amount yet grumble when digging the notes out.

Luckily some grumblings help. at least egg tart & ah meng did help alot too... :) without them i tink i will be so pissed & end up giving up half way already! seriously speaking, i think they werent even considered to be in the "in-group" with her lor.. yet, they seemed to be doing so much more than the supposedly-in-group member... They bother to go search high & low for the watch, doing internet research, personally going down to the shops to check, and eventually making the purchase together (even though they 2 did get on my nerves when we really bought it. one find it too exp [no sign one cheaper] - & i managed to get a discount! ; one find it too exp [the other shop cheaper] - they dun have that design at that price lor~) But still, really touched by the way they treat this whole planning... thanks for being so involved! =)

Anyways, HAPPY 21ST BIRTHDAY LINDA! =)

i forgot it was yuxuan's 21st bday party.. only just remembered... guess really too busy nowadays le, brain no more space for alot more other things =/

《第一戒》观后感

小时候，我曾经很害怕看鬼戏。看完之后，一定会害怕黑暗。但不知什么时候起，我似乎不再对鬼戏感到恐惧，反而会被惹笑。原本以为只有我是这么样的奇怪，但跟farrago的人去看了恐怖片之后，才发现原来 alice 和 yen teng 跟我一样！=D 都是怪胎？？ shuhui，eileen 和 yiying 则很容易被吓倒。可是，最后，yen teng 还是被吓到了！哈哈。。。

对我来说，《第一戒》 并不恐怖。它的惊恐元素似乎普通了一些。原因是每每有鬼出现的时候，一定会有伴随的音乐。导演已经让你判断得到恐怖画面的降临，还能会被吓倒吗？也许只有我而已吧。我看戏，我会去想，去判断，去揣摩。和预想的吻合时，有自豪感却又会觉得编剧/导演不会隐藏精彩的剧情，惊恐的元素。但是，我还是被其中一段戏吓着了！ ：D yeah！因为那一段，来得太突然，有静悄悄，没有配乐。加上观众都被误导了，以为那“脏东西”已经附了另一个人的身，离开了教室。被吓着的那一刻： 爽！

可我非常喜欢这部戏的原因，是因为剧情，电影背后的故事。
有点感伤，因为太信任所以被背叛； [警察1被警察2杀死]
因为太执著，所以忽略心爱的人； [2位警察都不理妻子]
因为太沉迷，所以只顾到自己那一方的爱，却不管对方的感受。[妻子死后，还得“服侍”老公]

95分钟的确短了点，原本以为不值回票价。但故事耐人寻味，赞！
又或者，我就是喜欢有故事，悲伤的鬼戏。
也许是这样，我看韩国恐怖片常常看到睡着。。。 哈哈。。。
而十年前看过的《阴阳路》还记忆深刻 - 一群青年，一个无聊的挑战 [到一个坟岛朝死人的资料]，遇到鬼 却得到一名已经被牺牲掉的朋友的帮助，脱离了坟岛。我永远忘不了最后一幕：死去的朋友无法和其他人坐上船上回岸，只能跟他们挥手道别。一条命被牺牲了，只因一时的好玩。一份友谊，却使其他人都能平平安安回家。

okay.. my fri in this sem is supposedly to be long.. 8.30 Am to 8.30 PM (actually lesson start proper at 1130am, but my friday morning is spent alternating between work @ sao and mini mse sports day.. )

anw so today is an especially long day.. well, after elect, me & baa went to toilet.. surprised to not see ym ard... we both tot he was still inside e toilet (a guy taking longer time in toilet than gals???) so aft a while, i decided to peek into the LT. that's where i found him still inside lah, talking to nice Dr Tuti :) baa's friend (juz got to noe him cos initially she wanted a place, & he wanted to drop. end up she got her place, he didnt drop his place =p) also there...

end up we dunno talk abt what (a whole long chain of stuff) UNTIL 10pm. my goodness lah! 1.5hr u noe?!?! so i ended up reaching home near midnight today... wah...

take home msg: my argument is that regardless of how technology is advancing right now, i feel that eventually we will all go back to basic, meaning using the most primitive source of energy for our daily life. I tink cos all the advancement will use up lots more energy & the amount should be increasing exponentially.. at this rate of increase, i tink the supply will eventually totally dry up lor~ so unless we can come up with super efficiency way to produce energy, we probably have no choice but to go back to "starting fire by rubbing rocks / from sun" le.. haha...

Mommy bought these sweet strawberries.. anw whenever i have banana/strawberries/honeydew and milk at home, i will whip out my blender & make them into milkshake instead! =)

but i added in too much milk for this so the strawberries were sadly, under-emphsised =( haiz.. what a pity for such good, sweet strawberries! next time shall be more focus! dun add in too much milk juz cos i was longing for milk.. after all, should proportionalise according to the limiting reagent! =D

Initial plan: Morning - Study, Afternoon - Attend Li Fei Hui's Music School Talk, Night - Rest

Due to unforseen overestimation of my limits, I couldnt finish the syllabus for EM105 quiz that morning, so decided to 忍痛 & forbidded myself to go for the talk... Anyway, most prob gonna be the usual thing also.. AND i dun like LFH anw... plus, he'll most prob be promoting abt his school & then end up with showcasing his students via performances.. SO i decided to be guai & revised for the quiz in MSE comp lab...



3PM!!! our usual 'free' lunch ;) yay!!

Initial plan: Take the food, eat until full full, then go back to studying

Yet, temptations win over when i see the set of Othello (or rather i used to know it as Reversi) on the table~~~~ (*_*) i knew i had to have a game or two.. haha.. end up playing one round against baa baa.. outcome: 58 blacks vs 6 whites... who's which?? u guess lor... but the scientist, at one point of time, said this: “不要在折磨她了！” hahahaha...
after that, we were again tempted by the deck of UNO cards!! haha.. played several rounds, outcome: KEEP LOSING ><>

Initial plan: Go home after CC

Being yao-gui me, was super super tempted to 'gian' the blueberries' swensens $80 vouchers.. haha.. my group went the other time ($60) but i couldnt make it ='( so really wanna try swensens 'expensive' (though i tink not worth it) ice-cream... so nice berries allowed me to be the only extra topping to tag along with ice-cream trip =) wahaha..
well, e meal wasnt exactly v good in e sense i didnt had a meal (my main course was already waiting for me at home! :D like i say... planned to go home straight after CC de = go home for dinner de...) AND my only order (while waiting for e rest to finish their dinner then go for desserts) was this cookie monster ice-blended coffee. i asked 3 different waitors/waitresses AND they all didnt get back to me! @#$^$!@!*&^% i was so pissed that when Edmund called the manager to check for the 4th time, i directly told him that im cancelling my order, regardless it's ready anot. HECK ah. wth. if any of the 3 waitors/waitresses had bothered to respond back upon checking, i wouldnt have mind so much. but their service SUCKS. so i decided not to be so kind anymore like last time in Crystal Jade (again, with Edmund at the same table, my chicken soup la mian took forever to come. When everyone had their food already with some finishing, i called the gal 2nd or 3rd time, saying if not ready i wanna cancel. she got back to me, saying it's in e making.. so another round of wait until the la mian finally arrived. *wth. kena cheated* should have bluntly cancelled) anyhows, this time round, after i cancelled the order of my coffee, the manager came back with the coffee! :O i was quite stunned la! i dun wanna pay for it! cos i alr cancelled it le! but surprisingly, he put down the drink and said "on the house!" :D said they would throw it away also... =/ so it was ready a long time ago?? shrug. anyhows, =) that i kopped a free drink lor.. hehe... & for desserts, we had apple crumble, banana crumble & i dun reali know what Edmund & Aloysius & Isaac ordered.. but one was all chocolately with brownie while the other one was mango fruity - refreshing after all chocs! :D but really ah, the svc... even when serving our crumbles, both e apple & banana were dropped on the floor la! -_-"" no standard.. sigh....
to wrap up the "dinner" (where i only had desserts), ended up not paying anything at all cos of the 'on the house' drink & 'voucher-paid' banana crumble =)
after that went to daiso where i was tempted to buy the mud mask & mint candy.. but restrains myself from doing so.. hmm?? y ah?
& reached home for my dinner around 10pm =X

Initial plan: Complete my online E8 experiment
Haiz... working on a project with committed members = having to go to school on a SUNDAY!~ oh my tian la... but actually it's not e "gg sch on sun" that i dread, but it was that i alr had my own plan, yet this kind is not valid enough a reason to postpone a meeting where everyone else was okay with.... so i spent my sun 10am to 9pm in school... super paiseh lah! was supposed to meet linda for her free ride at 820am so that we can reach school at 9am. BUT i OVERSLEPT. oh my tian!!! :O i snoozed my alarm which never revived =( super shocked when i shocked myself to awoken... [被吓醒] it will happened to me when subconsciously i knew i had done smth wrong... =S Linda smsed me 3 times & also called my house, but apparently she didnt dare to ring too long, so obviously it wasnt enough to wake me up :S :S :S HAIZ. what's wrong with me? simple thing also cannot do properly....
then at night, another round of shock. I sorta forgot it was a SUN NIGHT where all the foreign workers will take the busses i can take home from linda's house... budden again, i tot they will all drop off at Little India alr?? wad's wrong tt day?? my 65 was super packed, so was e 66.. so i decided to take 64 to transfer, thinkin it wont be so crowded. OH MY TIAN. suay-ness was stuck on me... 64 was surprisingly more crowded than usual. Still that kind that can get up one, but only the area near the driver.. Actually... the aisle was quite empty la, but i refused to move/squeeze in, erm, cos of e smell??? =p *heh* so e group of chinese who got up tgt with me stayed near the driver there.. haha.. BUT there was this weird ah-pek.. he like keep looking in my direction. Well, i was standing in front of the "wall" (where the card feeder used to be), so he cant possibly be looking out of the window for scenery rite? cos it's all blocked. so i get kinda uncomfortable. then i used my 独“毒”门武器 - eye power! 瞪! whenever he turned to my direction, i will enlarge my eyeball & give a very stern look. HAHA! but i dun look directly at him, lest he really not looking at me. So my stare was only directed to him if he was looking at me. HAH! 老娘可不是好惹的 not after that disgusting 2 yrs which made me grow... alot... im not that easily bullied anymore! hah!

wed (06/03/08): specially went down to bugis after tuition to get myself a venti starsbuck so as to motivate myself to 熬夜. halfway thru e cup, i fell aslp =/
the following days: halfway through, i will give myself a break... a nap is all i told myself to have, but it always ended up being slping from 2am - 5am in awkard position, then scurriedly scramble back to bed to pretend i was slping properly throughout the night, lest i wanna scoldings from my mom.. HAIZ. so yah, which explained my oversleep on sun & all the dozing-offs i've been doing for mon lects... joyce said i was making noise when i napped in ms2005! :O my 1st leh.. usually after my nap during ms2010, i will be awake for e nice lecturer's lect.. budden maybe partly because i feel that he's lost his passion to teach?? he doesnt seem as good nowadays as compared to pre-recess/pre-CA... :S

oh man. i need serious help/motivation to STOP changing my plan!!

BUT not necessary the modules only offered in sem1 wad... wth.. play cheat.. & i tot the MSE admin will check the modules' offer list.. if i have known, i would also done the same thing =(
AND her name is neither blue (swappable) nor red (requested to be placed in sem2) & no reason given for her to be in sem2.. hmm, how come like that???

ps: even thou my place is swappable, IM NOT GOING TO SWAP!!!!
but linda how ah?? tink she going overseas leh.. & she's in sem1... i wanna help her.. but i really dun wanna swap.... ok, i shall pray hard for her to get someone else to mutually swap with her.. :)
