Afternoon At Suntec

yeah! went out with geraldine, quek qing & yunqi today... ger's sms didnt say anything specific, so i tot there was no planned event. but after meeting yunqi 1st (i was 15 min late, yunqi ard tt too, ger was 40 min & qq 1 hr??), apparently, they had already decided to watch "Night At the Museum" lor.. *lucky i brought enough $$...

at 1st went to marina sq, tinkin tt gv better... but the timings not so good -- either we have a rushed lunch (with qq vv late) or yunqi & ger had to rush after the movie.. so we decided to have a nice lunch (PizzaHut's Student Meal! :) ) and watched it at Eng Wah instead...

$6.50 for a movie tix used to be v ex.. only on weekends/PHs... but now, it's e cheapest rate around... on a ulu-ulu weekday, in a ulu-ulu place... haha... but for me, i still tink it's very ex... i dun tink i mind waiting a year or two to watch it on tv... i mean, good things are worth waiting for, isn't it? ;)

anw Night At the Museum was not bad lah... not vv nice, but nice enough =p
tink i like the two little men best... owen wilson and who ar? i dunno...
tink will always rmb e part where sakagewae (how to spell???!) said, "he went east. and then he crashed"... "how did you know?!" and then she pointed to the vehicle.. LOL. at least smth humourous nearing the climax bah...

anw, glad to meet up with old friends... think they've been seeing each other often, i was the "odd one out"... but nvm =) took quite a few photos & managed to get qq get a new shirt! maybe our next outing can be set an objective : to give qq a thorough makeover!! =D

i used to send lotsa christmas cards to my friends... even last yr, althou i had to go operation onn22 dec, i still did send many cards.. somehow, maybe this yr had been busy with song signing, HI'Spore event, tuition & stuff, not much mood to do so many things le... on top of that, postage fees had gone up again? i tink so rite... but haven got the time to go exchange the old stamps for the new ones yet...

anw this yr had also been quite passive. i waited for pple to sms me then i reply back... haha... so those who nv wish me, they didnt get my wishes too! =p abit lazy bah... maybe reali tired le...

but still wanna say MERRY CHRISTMAS EVERYONE!!! =)

Woo hoo!!~ im finally done with this song!! :D
after hearing it 10.30am-3pm, 4 times a week for a month!!!!
Performance was not bad lah.. juz tt i din get to inform my frens abt the performing dates [stupid comp broke down!! =( ) and when gor came back & fixed e comp, i din get to use it whenever as i wish... =( ]

anw tink i liked the v-shpaed performance best... it's the only formation i din make any slight mistakes!! maybe cos im most familiar with that?? anw, we used it on the 1st day (19/12) @ eastpoint, & 3rd day (21/12) @ bugis. althou we did have a small incident during the start of our performance at bugis. the music stopped!!! oh man!!?!? but luckily, only 2 people were signing then, the rest of us were swaying. so we juz paused there. feedback was that we paused & resumed immediately, responding to the music uniformly!! yeah!! good job everyone! =)

well, 2nd day (20/12) was at jurong point. sickening place. MAN. they had a stage, juz to accommodate 6 shaking christmas trees??!!? wad a waste of money & space rite?? made us perform in a narrow aisle. so not sincere. & our items had to be rushed cos there were the "shaking trees' performances" @ 7pm AND 8pm. wah liao... & we were basically signing to little children who were sitting in front of us/the stage because they were waiting for the trees' dance! anw, had almost no mistake until kp asked me to move back abit. end up both of us missed the signings for that part. lolx. but ok la... only a slight mistake... =(
oh! but i saw marco!! so surprised lor!! then he still asked me if i recognise him... actually by looks, maybe not really.. since i cant rmb faces well.. but i rmb his voice! haha! =D but was too shocked to say ath except pushing him & his gf (?) the sign lang cards we were supposed to distribute... haha...

the last day~ we had a "good" (at least to me) lunch @ mos. yiying actually meant "good meal" as in a really good meal thou.. haha! nvm. im satisfied with mos =p our group leader who had the previous mass-sms everyone to bring the gift for exchange forgot about his own one. haha! so quanli went back home to get his gift. after lunch, i gave everyone (only ss group A peeps & seniors lah) their postcards & toblerone. [i wrote til 2am that day kkz!!] haha... mainly gave according to joking manner lah.. but meiying apparently dun like the baby's feet & instead focused on the "HIV positive" statement. so quick-witted me said it means "Hearing Impaired Volunteer positive" :P
then performance was not bad lah... but i almost did the "bring me love" wrongly... end up still got give e heart to kelvin lah... but from video should be able to see that i brought e heart from the air, instead of my heart there =p
AND it was gift exchange! farrago's had it before performance. i picked cheryl (gave her a ceramic bear with heart) while yen ting picked me!! gave me a dog-bone keychain... for ss group, i picked min yee (gave her a hp pouch with a ballerina bear attached.. super cute!!) and Soon Eng picked me!! haha... & i still suan-ed him last time [cos he bought the same thing for soya-bean, whom he picked for senior-xchange, as wenqi who picked him for ss] he gave me a deer keychain... made me wonder... do i have the "pls-give-me-keychain" face?? hahaha...

all in all, songsigning had been tiring but fun also lah... may we be able to keep in touch! =)

haha, the above is actually one of the lines amongst the songs WSC-HI is gonna perform dis xmas. "Xmas Wish" by 98degree if im not wrong... the formation at this part very commical de! Hui & Mel doing the "no" HI sign while shaking their heads, with expression!! =D

anw, it's holidays!! How could i not have updated anything since my last day of exams! How could i have been more active then, during my exam period & slack now?? Guess my CCA is even more mentally exhausting than preparing for exams... =S

Basically we are now busy practising signing Xmas Songs for performances on 19 - 22 dec, at eastpoint, jurong point, west mall & bugis... sigh. there's practices EVERY alternate DAYS ie mon, wed, fri AND SATURDAY~ 10.30am - 3.30pm lor. no joke man.

On top of that, Farrago-ians hafta prepare for HI'Spore event next feb.
Well, u see, the Welfare Services Club - Hearing Impaired (WSC-HI) are split into 3 centres, the Clementi & Kallang peeps are i/c of tuition to school students while farrago teaches chinese to HI adults. & every year, every centre have different activities to be i/c, but ALL of us from WSC-HI have to participate in all three.
So currently, all these practices are due to the Xmas Song Signing organised by Clementi Centre... while the other 2 centres (Kallang & Farrago) have to juggle with practising AND planning for our events lor.......

My group's song is "My Only Wish" by Britney Spears. Honestly, i like the other groups' songs better... haha.. like "Christmas Time" & "Down Santas Claus Lane"... There's also "Christmas Wish" (mentioned at the start =P) & "Kiss Me at Midnight"... But ay, nvm la... shall cont'd to act like im enjoying it :P so far, whenever we perform in front of the seniors, they always say im enjoying e song.. ok la.. im enjoying PERFORMING is more correct :P
so far, formation more or less done... so it's juz practising and more practising...

But tmr i gonna have new partner le... again!
Cos initially we thought our group is down to 8 from 10 peeps. Then this guy kelvin suddenly say he can come le... so we tink of 9 peeps formation liao... so my 8-ppl formation partner Kok Ping left me... then before kel comes & join us on 11th, Min Yi (female senior) have been acting as "my kelvin" for 3 days... i wonder if Kel will be as fun as the rest... haha! will always rmb how me & KP acted lor.. until e seniors say we very tou ru while the other couple (Shuhui & Quanli) not much chemistry... cant blame them la.. we arent as shy as them mah... then we always do exaggerate actions... hahaha...

okies.. so for now, "My Only Wish" is: hope that kel is a fun guy!! =D
