To NJC 37th Student Council

First we started as nothing;
then we came up with something;
now we are going to leave with everything!

Yep, indeed we started out with nothing. Not even a name. We were the "New Student Leadership Body (NSLB)", combining Council with House Reps. I still remember the morning meetings we had, just to discuss our new name, new identity. There were PULSE, and others... Then came voting. Sure, we knew that our seniors from the 6th House Representatives were gonna be pretty sad when they got to find out that we retained being "Student Council". But I hope they understand that we had no intention to diminish them of any sort. In fact, each and every councillor see ourselves as member of the 37th Student Council AND a house member. I've seen everyone been devoted to our own house and participating in events together, without the previous barrier of 'im in council, u're in house reps'. Really, we were SIX HOUSES but also ONE NJC COUNCIL.
Now thinking back, i indeed have many sweet and wonderful times spent during my council term. So many that i really cant list them down. There were all those staying backs, rehearsals, being involved in this&that, meetings (be it early in the morn or late at nite). The most memorable one is probably the one kenny specially timed it at 7pm so that everyone can attend (of which sadly, it didnt happen) and just talk. It was simple, but sweet. Enjoyable. Saw a shooting star. Made my whole night so magical.
37th, we had accomplished much. Just as our song goes, we can hold our heads held high.

Thou we may face times of conflicts..
Of cos, there were times i felt down and disppointed. Some may not have noticed, but im glad for those who had. I will always remember julito being there for me during the Parents-Teachers meeting even though i refused to tell him what's wrong. Thanks so much for being so sensitive. Also, I truly appreciate shu hui for her care & concern during one of our FbU pubstunt. I was very upset over my chem s. Even though i said nothing, she sensed my quietness/oddness. Tried to console me. Thank you!! ((:

My elects camp group mates!! =) Man, elects camp was the toughest camp i've been to (until YLTC, that is ;p ) Thanks to everyone who had been there to support me, sarcrifised for the group. Even though we may not always be the most rah-rah team (yea, i've forgotten our cheers already =p), but i'l nv forget we were the FIRST for that handicapped game. Waited for the other groups at the track for sooooo long! But we didnt waste those times. We talked, we looked at stars, we shared those precious moments!
And of cos, our group has one of the most exco!

YLTC was the toughest of the toughest camp i've been to!!!! Of cos, my deepest gratitude goes out to everyone in kampong enous. Won't forget the times we met to discuss about camp stuff and our duty for morn PT. And during the camp, how we looked out for one another, giving encouragements for those doing the elements, the hard times at the sea during dragon boating and the most adventurous time i've spent in sentosa (.. in the middle of the night!). Then my back have to ache -_-"" reali sorry to have brought some trouble to the group cos i couldnt run... But everyone didnt mind it. Even showered me with love! THANKS =)

to 7th Feedback [FbU] (pradeep, emmiline, jun xian, marco, michael, shaun, christopher, shu hui, praseetha, soon kit, rachael, sangeetha, our dearest angel: diana!!!!)
BA GA LIAO... we did, man! Collecting feedbacks, convincing the admin to upgrade the school, thinking of more ways to improve students' welfare & school spirit (wadeva happened to our nj mechanise?), doing pubstunts... Then there were those last-minute-totally-uncalled-for dialouge sessions, sudden-changed CCA leaders dialouge sessions, urgently-required pubstunts, turned-away OGLs selection interview (still amazed at our determination of staying put & refusing to leave the room =D), greatly-shortened OGL training workshop (well, it was supposed to be a camp... ... -_-). hAhAz... we seriously sabbed everything to do! And then we were the noisest comm... Even stayed united for halloween cos we were the FBU --> Food & Beverage Unit! HAHA... And i most definitely wont forget the pubstunt where i was 'many'... so 37th, u guys all came in as me cos our song goes "we, came as many"... ah ha!
Special thanks to boss! FbU wouldnt be the same without you! If you werent so enthu, fun-loving, pushed us all the way, we wouldnt have become BGL! From the bottom of all our hearts, T-H-A-N-K Y-O-U B-O-S-S!!!! U've made every feedbackers not regretting being an f'er. ;)
special thanks to di!!! For being such a nice & devoted FbU angel. Always attending meetings, helping us pass down msgs, act as sec when we lost ours. AND ur contribution to 37th. Thanks for being ever so generous and not minding us occupying your house, TWICE! Thanks for the ice-cream too!! yUmmY!!!! *and dun worry, i wun blame u if u gonna take 10yrs to realise i've thank you =p*

to teachers' day comm (davina, richard, estelle, gerard, emmiline, silin, marco, perl han, sui hang)
wOw, we have so many ignis in teachers' day comm!! hAhAz... But it doesnt really matter, cos we r one anw. I still remember we started our first meeting after investiture rehearsal. Well, it wasnt an official one, but we started that early. Then i also wont forget that davina, our dear i/c, assigned me to write the script for the emcees on all day but my birthday! hA! well, i guess that's the sort of sacrify you have to make to be councillor. Not that i had anything on that day anyway... But im quite sad that my script wasnt used eventually... Oh yar, i also wont forget the audition we put up for those who wanted to perform for the teachers' day celebration concert. So fun to sit through audition! despite my opinions not taken...
speacial thanks to rich for not assigning me any duty cos of jap prelims paper! I even had to leave early, halfway through the concert i've some participation in organising!!! )= not that my results was anything satisfying either. So not worth it! But stiil, i appreciate it that richard understood my need & took initiative not to put me involve on that actual day. Thanks alot leech!! *_*

to halloween food comm (FbU [food&beverage unit =p] and sixun!!)
Yep. As i said earlier on, FbU changed from Feedback Unit to Food&Beverage Unit... hAhAz.. but as we were short of one I/C, sixun came over! :) welcome! haha... the most memorable thing was probably the huge spider we made out of newspaper&garbage bags and the pumpkins emmi carved! Well, my dessert sale wasnt very gd & the drinks went out a little tooooo fast, but still, overall, everyone who attended the NJC 1st Halloween party said it was FANTASTIC. That is just enough to push away the unpleasant stuff that happened.

Well well... This orientation really bond us together! Sure, we met with lots difficulties, from coming up with a good solid cheer to having a proper stylish walk-in to presenting a cool enjoyable skit. We faced problems, last-min obstacles, but i really have to say, we've made it through! I still do like our cheer, our walk-in (minus crazy sangee's singing maybe... hAhAz... cannot... muz congratulate her for being having the courage to learn chinese song to sing), our coke skit.

U made me belonging to s14 again! Wont forget the times when we discussed what to do to bring the class together, learning from each other the names of the j1s in s14.. =D Thanx for bringing back all the sweet memories i had of orientation!

The elects camp grouping!!! Our last official project ): But im glad i got to be in this group as you all! Really enjoyed the hike trial and during the camp. Thanks to those who have showed concern to me when i got really upset with the greeks for the hike. Sorry for losing grip on myself. Then there was the discussion to rank the greeks. Haha... in e end, we all missed almost 20mins of lesson! (stoopid marco, must drop chem... made me run for chem pract myself! ><>
Special thanks to wee chiew for being ever-so-considerate. Even bought the ship & thought of the catchy phrase "The building blocks of council" Xin ku ni le!!! So happy to finally get a chance to work with you for elects camp. You are not as nice as i thought you are! Nope. You are NICER!! :)
Oh yar, thanks to di again! But not for forgetting you are in greeks (nvm lah. U've gotten your cold treatment as punishment liao...) but for loading the greeks halfway through the hike! Thanks for the food.

To those i have not had the chance to work with
Nvm. It was good enough that we belong to the same council. And it was already a blessing to know all of you guys. Do TAKE CARE!!!

I may not have been the most rahrah person, nor have i been sacrificing a lot for council, but i feel that i've already done my small minor part to the 37th SC, the portion i wanted to do when i joined.

I hope we shall all remember kenny's wish -- the gathering in 2015 :)
